Wendy Soliday

Vermont artist Wendy Soliday paints stunning landscapes that capture her deep love of the pastoral world.  She blends hints of realism and bits of drama into her impressionistic and atmospheric paintings. She has created a traveling exhibit “Vulnerable Vermont: Fields and Farms”, most recently hosted by the Governor’s Office in Montpelier. Exhibiting in national and international shows, Wendy recently received “Best Pastel” Award at the Northern Vermont Artist Association Annual Exhibit.

Wendy began drawing and painting in 1997 while home-schooling her youngest son.  Her quick success and obsessive passion to paint convinced her to quit her job and pursue painting full time.  Her home, once filled with children, chickens, and ponies, is now filled with paintings. She lives in East Montpelier, Vermont.
