Janice Solek-Tefft
Janice Solek-Tefft, BFA/MA., attended Kent State University in Kent, Ohio and received a Bachelors in Fine Art in 1970. She received a Masters of Art in Art Therapy from Goddard College in 1981.
I have been a pastel painter since 1979. My work reflects my inner journey of spirituality whether I am out in nature devouring the landscape or in my studio allowing a free flowing abstraction to come alive on my canvas. The vivid and intense colors I can obtain through pastels brings an excitement from within that allows my work to transform itself and express my creativity.
I have exhibited in several galleries in Vermont including: The Emile Gruppe Gallery in Jericho (In April 2008 I and my husband Kenneth will have a Wife/Husband show through May 2008), The Art Gallery at the Expo in Essex Junction (Second Place and Honorable Mention in this juried show), The Red Mill Gallery in Jericho, and The Bryan Gallery in Jeffersonville.
