Mallory Bratton Rich
Mallory Bratton Rich is an artist in love with the medium of soft pastels and their ability to convey the moods and beauty of rural Vermont and coastal Maine. She developed her skills in pastel at Woodstock School of Art and has studied extensively with Albert Handel and Virginia McNeice. Her Artist Residencies include Art Week at Fairfield Porter's home on Great Spruce Head Island, Maine, and three months at Vermont Studio Center, the international artists residency program in Johnson, Vermont. Rich is also the recipient of a grant from the Vermont Arts Council and the NEA.
Her work has been included in numerous group, juried and solo exhibitions throughout Vermont and eastern New York, and in the 16th annual IAPS web show. She is represented by Gallery Wright in Wilmington, Vermont; Camden Falls Gallery in Camden, Maine, Secret Garden Gallery on Ocracoke Island, NC and by the Atchison Gallery in Birmingham, Alabama.
Mallory Rich lives in Sandgate, Vermont, with her husband, the artist Harry Rich.
