Kathrena Ravenhorst-Adams received her BA from Mary Baldwin College and later studied watercolor with Mitsue Elston in Maryland. She earned a Master of Arts in Art and Nature from the Graduate Program of Vermont College of Norwich University.

The artist is an active member of the Barre Paletteers, the Vermont Watercolor Society, the Vermont Pastel Society,the Art Resource Association, and others. She teaches watercolor and oil painting at Studio Place Arts in Barre. Birds, flowers, landscapes and the details of nature continue to be favorite subjects for her work.
