Dierdre Dennis
Dierdre Dennis is a self taught regional - based pastel artist. She works primarily from black and white photographs creating a variety of unique and colorful paintings which include landscapes, nudes and imaginative portraits.
Dierdre has had numerous group and solo shows since 2001. Her work, Silent in the Morning
was chosen for the Vermont Arts Council Palettes of Vermont 53 Flavors Exhibit at the Spotlight Gallery in Montpelier, Vt.
Dierdre teaches art workshops for young children at Visions: An After School Program. She recently completed a Figure Drawing residency for high school students, as well as, teaching a pastel landscape workshop at the Morrill Homestead as part of their continuing workshop series.
Dierdre is a special education assistant and owns Gardenscapes, a landscape design company. Dierdre's work can be seen at her studio in South Strafford, Vermont.
